Custom Embroidery
Logos stitched clean and built to outlast the garment. Polos, hats, jackets, and quarter zips embroidered in house in Urbana, Ohio.
Embroidery is the premium finish in custom apparel. A stitched logo has texture, weight, and a raised feel that printing can’t match, and it holds up through hundreds of washes without cracking or fading. That’s why it leads on corporate apparel, uniforms, workwear, and gifts.

Logo embroidery
built to last
Embroidery is the most durable decoration method there is. The design gets stitched into the fabric rather than sitting on top of it, so there’s nothing to peel or crack. A well embroidered logo looks as sharp in year 3 as it did on day 1.
Quality comes down to digitizing and machine work. We digitize every logo in house, match stitch types and density to the garment, and run test stitch outs before production so the full order comes out consistent.

What embroidery options are there for custom hats?

Flat Embroidery
The classic finish. Clean, durable, and suited to nearly any logo.

Puff Embroidery
Foam under the stitching raises the logo off the hat for a bold, 3D look. Best with thick letters and solid shapes.

Patches
Embroidered, woven, leather, and PVC patches give hats a retail look and handle detail that direct embroidery can’t. Leather patches on Richardson truckers are one of the most requested looks we produce.
How does embroidery digitizing work?
Digitizing converts your artwork into a stitch file that tells the machine where every stitch goes, in what direction, and in what order. It’s a one time setup per logo. Once your file is built, every reorder runs from it at no added digitizing cost.
Logos with bold shapes, solid fills, and text above a quarter inch tall embroider best. Fine lines, gradients, and tiny text need simplifying. Our guide to designing a logo for embroidery covers what translates to thread and what doesn’t.

Should you choose embroidery or screen printing?
Choose embroidery for durability, a premium finish, and structured garments like polos, hats, and jackets. Choose screen printing for bold graphics at volume on tees and hoodies.
Plenty of programs use both: embroidered polos for the office, screen printed tees for events. Our screen printing versus embroidery guide compares them side by side.
Embroidery FAQ
What is the minimum for embroidery?
48 pieces for new customers. For existing customers, we can go lower.
How is embroidery priced?
By stitch count, garment, and quantity. A simple left chest logo runs in a few thousand stitches and prices accordingly. Large back designs with dense fills take more thread and machine time.
Is there a digitizing fee?
Yes, a one time fee per logo. Reorders use the same file with no additional digitizing charge.
Can you embroider waterproof jackets?
Yes, with care. Needles puncture fabric, so on waterproof shells we use jackets built with embroidery access, or recommend a patch or heat applied option to keep the shell waterproof.
